Monday, September 16, 2013: As it is fairly certain that the next Nexus device is being manufactured by LG, rumours on the internet now suggest that the device may boast the same 13 mega pixel optical image stabilisation camera that the LG G2 has.
Android Authority reported that the Nexus 4 device had the same 8 mega pixel camera that was fitted on some models of the LG Optimus G. This is an argument in the favour of the conjecture about the Nexus 5. Moreover, the camera module that had been seen in the FCC documents also looks quite like the one on the LG G2. Even though this is not guaranteed proof of the devices having the same camera, it is quite possible.
If true, then the new camera will be somewhat of a first for the Google Nexus devices, which have never been known to have good camera quality. The imaging capabilities of the LG G2 are quite impressive and the same camera module on the Nexus 5 would substantially add to the device’s popularity. The next version of the LG Google Nexus is expected to be launched in October this year.
